The Other Side - Choice Based Interactive Projection System.
The Other side is looking to turn The Askwith Kenner Global Languages and Cultures Room into an experience that promotes cultural understanding and reflects the intercultural community of the CMU students.
This room is located at the Tepper building on the CMU campus. It provides an immersive space for members of the campus community and visitors to interact with each other locally and with people and places around the world. The room operates as a flexible learning space, a research lab and meeting place.
Our team is aiming at building an interactive experience which gives an identity to this multipurpose room. Keeping in mind the central theme of intercultural collaboration, we want to provide an experience which the students and visitors can make their own.
This experience will allow students and professors on CMU campus to contribute to its content and share their opinions on topics related to language and culture. We hope that through our project this room becomes a cultural hub for fellow CMU students!

Prototype of the system.
We are planning to implement a system which allows the guest to interact with the projection on the glass wall using touch points on the glass wall.
Projection Set Up and System Design
In this image made by me you can see the two projectors, the HDMI wires, the throw distance and height and Width Calculations, The touch points are to be created by attaching Phidgets to the laptop in the illustration of the Room.
Research on Touch Technologies
I did extensive research about the different touch technologies for the projection system. From adhesive tapes to touch frames and touch films, there are a lot of touch options nowadays. Our client decided to go with the Adhesive Projection Film and sensors. This is a documented List of Projection Film Prototypes till now.
